Description
The Bad na h-Achlaise Collection Bottle 1/350 70cl. Badachro taste their whisky casks individually on a regular basis as their release to date has consisted of a pairing of two casks which we felt married particularly well. On tasting the cask 25/01, they felt that it was particularly delicious and well balanced, so decided to bottle it on its own.
Matured in a ex-Bourbon Cask for most of its life, it is finished in ex Tuscan Red Wine Casks in Badachro, where it is also reduced and bottled.
A light- medium peated single malt, more peaty on the nose than it is in the mouth, with a delicious sweetness giving way to stewed, dark fruits and a warm, creamy, oatmeal finish.
This really is well balanced and adventurous, reflection the rugged nature of Badachro and four seasons, in a dram.
