Ardbeg 10 Year Old Special 26 2/3fl.oz. Ardbeg was originally founded in 1815 by the McDougal family and its hard to believe that with its fanatical following the Distillery went through some very tough times before closing in 1981 until 1989.That reopening began slowly when whisky was only distilled over a 2 month period each year under the flag of Allied Distillers Limited until 1997 when Ardbeg was bought by Glenmorangie Plc who owned the Distillery for good. Ownership then transferred to Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy establishing the Ardbeg name as a leading Scotch Whisky Distiller to this day.
This particular Ardbeg is a very rare 10 Year Old, bottled at 80 Proof.
