Description
Bimber Distillery Peated Cask Batch 1, Ex-Bourbon Oak Cask Batch 1, Oloros Cask Batch 1, Re-charred Oak Char Level #4 & Klub Edition 70cl.
(Peated Cask Batch 1) - This is its Peated Cask expression, initially matured in first-fill bourbon barrels before a finish in quarter casks which previously held a peated Islay single malt! A brilliant balance of creamy bourbon influence and maritime smokiness, just 1,750 bottles were released at 54.1% ABV.
(Ex-Bourbon Batch 1) - For this limited release, London's Bimber Distillery matured the single malt wholly in American white oak bourbon casks. This is Batch No.1 of the expression, which saw 1,948 bottles released at 51.8% ABV, each one packed full of stone fruit and creamy sweetness.
(Oloroso Cask Batch 1) - One of only 950 bottles in the Bimber Oloroso Sherry Batch 1 Small Batch release. It was firstly matured in 1st fill bourbon barrels then finished in casks that previously held Spanish Oloroso Sherry to finish.
(Re-charred Oak Char Level #4) - The American oak casks were hand-charred by Bimber's own coopers to a level #4 char, which cask enthusiasts (they exist) will know as alligator char. The result is an English single malt with plenty of brown sugar, toasty oak and warm spice notes.
(Klub Edition) - This Bimber release was bottled exclusively for the Bimber Klub. Matured firstly in ex-bourbon casks then transferred to a Pedro Ximenez sherry butt. This is one of just 1,198 bottles released at 52.8% free from chill-filtration and artificial colouring.
